We collect as little as possible. No accounts, no advertising cookies, and your email is used for one thing only.
Storm alerts
When you join the waitlist, we store your email address, the selected place’s name and coordinates, registration time and a random link token. A masked registration notification (registration number, masked email and country only) is sent to our private Discord channel for operations. Discord processes that notification; your full email, precise location and link token are not sent there. Email delivery is disabled. We do not sell your address or use it for marketing. Before storm email delivery starts, you will need to verify your email address. To request deletion of your registration, write to privacy@hurritracker.com.
Analytics
With your permission, Google Analytics 4 uses analytics cookies to measure page visits and feature usage. Google processes these measurements. We keep advertising storage and personalization disabled. We do not send email addresses, subscription tokens, search text or precise locations. You can reject analytics or change your choice using Analytics settings in the footer. Separately, our own cookieless event endpoint counts feature use and country-level traffic without storing names, emails or IP addresses.
Settings on your device
Your choices for units, theme and time zone are saved in your browser’s local storage so the site remembers them. The stored preferences stay on your device; feature-change events can include the selected units, theme or time zone. Your analytics choice is also saved locally.
Hosting and your rights
The site runs on Cloudflare, which processes requests to deliver pages. You can ask us to delete your alert subscription and email at any time by writing to privacy@hurritracker.com. If advertising is added in future, this policy will be updated first and visitors in the EU and UK will be asked for consent.
